Dr Ayub had extensive experience in both general and hospital dentistry prior to embarking on specialist training in Endodontics. Since qualifying from King’s College London in 1995 he gained a wealth of hospital experience in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative Dentistry & Endodontics. During this time he was awarded Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He also spent many years working in private general practice interspersed with his time at the hospitals.

He gained his Masters degree in Endodontology from the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL in 2004 and was awarded the Membership of Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2005. Upon completion of this formal specialist training, he entered the General Dental Council’s Specialist List for Endodontics.

Dr Ayub has lectured on a variety of dental topics. Currently, he continues to give lectures on endodontics to General Dental Practitioners and is also a Clinical Teacher at King’s College Hospital.

The Clinician
Dr Ayub has limited his practice to Endodontics since 2000. He has worked as a visiting specialist in a number of private practices around London as well as at St. George’s Hospital. Having gained a wealth of experience, Dr Ayub set up his own specialist endodontic practice in the heart of Wimbledon in 2007. Dr Ayub is also a part-time Consultant in Endodontics at King’s College London.

The Teacher
Dr Ayub is committed to teaching and learning. He was a clinical teacher at King’s College London in 2005, where he taught undergraduate dental students. He previously taught postgraduates at the Eastman Dental Institute, St. George’s Hospital and now continues to teach as a visiting lecturer in Endodontics at various University Hospitals in London. Dr Ayub currently also teaches on the postgraduate MSc and MClinDent specialist training programmes in Endodontics at King’s College Hospital, London.

The Examiner
Dr Ayub is on the board of examiners at the Royal College of Surgeons Of England, where he is involved all aspects of examining postgraduate dentists striving to progress in their careers.

Dr Stephen Cawte qualified from the University of Edinburgh in 1988. After graduating he was commissioned into the Royal Army Dental Corps and served in the UK, Germany, New Zealand, The Falkland Islands, the Middle East and Africa.

Seven years later, on completion of his commission, he graduated with an MSc in Conservative Dentistry from the University of Manchester. After several years of working in both private and NHS practices and at the Turner Dental School in Manchester he took a training post as a Resident Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with East Lancashire Maxillofacial Services. After two and a half years in this post he accepted the position of Staff Grade in Restorative Dentistry and Oral Surgery at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield. He then began a three-year full-time mono-speciality training programme in Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute in London.

He currently works at several practices in London providing endodontic advice and treatment. He is registered as a Specialist in Endodontics with the General Dental Council.

Samanta joined the practice in January 2021. Samanta is responsible for organising all the clinical aspects of the practice and is committed to clinical excellence

Corinne joined Ayub Endodontics in 2023. Corinne is responsible for the reception and all administrative tasks, to include practice compliance.
